The world of human perception is a complex and convoluted space. We each emerge from a unique framework of individual backgrounds and experiences that inform the way we choose to understand the world. My artwork is simply an extension of my own perception, a physical embodiment of my mind.
The urge to make these images stems from a much deeper human need to communicate. Where spoken or written language falls short, or becomes too complicated, other art forms fill the gap. So it is that I hope to communicate a little of my internal world to others.
Whether my viewer sees what I intended or not, is no longer of my concern.
Each individual must approach a work through their own experience and
perceptions. We may not be seeing the same reality, but the choice to look and
the attempt to interpret are a sign of communication in an increasingly abstract world.
